Group XOR released the Season Premier of Gordon Ramsey’s Kitchen Nightmares. I’ve aways been a fan of his, I’m not one that likes reality shows, or cooking shows, but I like the way he does it. Unfortunetly, this 2 hour episode really isn’t anything new, it is a ‘revisited’ episode. Gordon goes back to visit 6 of the restaraunts he helped out in the previous season. The actual season starts on the 11th.

Chef Ramsay will revisit six different restaurants that had previously been on the brink of disaster. Around a year ago, Chef Ramsay helped these restaurants make changes in their menu, décor, and mission. Chef Ramsay will visit Peter’s Italian Restaurant in Babylon, NY; The Mixing Bowl in Bellmore, NY; The Olde Stone Mill in Tuckahoe, NY; Dillon’s in New York City; Finn McCool’s in West Hampton, NY; and Campania in Fair Lawn, NJ. After Chef Ramsay made his changes, most of these restaurants experienced immediate success. However, the question remains of if these restaurants were able to find permanent and profitable success. Back in the U.S. he announces his company will cease making weapons and he begins work on an updated armored suit only to find that Obadiah Stane, his second in command at Stark industries has been selling Stark weapons to the insurgents. He uses his new suit to return to Afghanistan to destroy the arms and then to stop Stane from misusing his research.

Bestdivx brings us the first dvdrip of Iron Man. It’s an internal because this release has some german hardcoded subs. It’s however a popular movie where quite some pepole waited for the good quality version, so that’s why they released it. However, the R1 retail will come soon. RTB has provided the new album by pop-punk-hip hoppers Gym Class Heroes. Although this isn’t really my thing, there’s no denying the fanbase this band has, so here’s the album.

Gym Class Heroes are an American band from Geneva, New York. The group formed when Travis “Schleprok” McCoy met drummer Matt McGinley and decided to make a band. After the addition of guitarist Disashi Lumumba-Kasongo and bassist Eric Roberts, they were signed to Decaydance Records, on which they released the gold-selling album As Cruel As School Children. Since that release, the band has garnered much success, with the single “Cupid’s Chokehold” reaching #4 on the Billboard Hot 100, and “Clothes Off!!” peaking at #5 on the UK Singles Chart. Rather than using the conventional tools of hip hop production, Gym Class Heroes use live instrumentation, similar to artists such as: Florescent Thiefs, Stetsasonic, The Roots, N.E.R.D., Flobots, and Crown City Rockers. They have collaborated with Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump on numerous occasions, notably for providing backing vocals on the song “Cupid’s Chokehold.” The band plans to release their fourth LP, The Quilt, later this year.

VoMiT released a propered dvdrip of action comedy The Bodyguard 2 which is obviously a low budget STV production as in case of most of VoMiT’s releases. LL Cool J used to be amazing. Chaps from DOMiNO released a dvdrip of a slightly older drama Room 314 few moments ago. This movie somehow reminds of another controversary film: Young People Fucking. It’s very similar, however Room 314 seems to be little worse with fairly poor acting and bad camera. If you like sexist movies, give it a try though.

Room 314 is five different stories about five couples in various stages of their relationships. Longing for connection, underlying tensions, and need for understanding all swirl about as these couples struggle to say what they want and occasionally succeed. Nick and Stacey wake up and find they have to get to know each other again. An unexpected visit forces Harry to confront Gretchen. Jack and Kathy discover that their physical attraction could be something far more significant. Matt and Tracey push a game a little too far. And David and Caly struggle to redefine their relationship. Room 314 gives the audience a look at these characters that’s so close as to be uncomfortable at times, but shows a universal truth: Wanting connection with someone else and knowing how to achieve it are two entirely different things.

A not very active scene group BULLDOZER (17 releases so far) has released two STV movies last night: one of them is a comedy Soccer Mom with a promising young star Emily Osment in the main role. The movie was filmed in less than a month so you can’t really expect anything special but I’ve seen many worse films. The quality is standard 1 CD with mp3 sound.

LOL has released the first episode of the first season of a brand new show Sons of Anarchy. I haven’t heard of this show yet, but it is from the producer of The Shield, a drama that follows the lives of members a community watched over by a motorcycle club who strive to protect the town from newcomers and all that may be a threat to it. However, loyalty to the club is tested when lawlessness begins to run rampant.

Pop singer-songwriter Jem rose to prominance with her last album, Finally Woken, and the hit singles “24″ and “They”. FM has the Advance Copy of her new album, Down to Earth… it’s not much of an advance, only about 2 weeks, but it’s better than nothing, isn’t it? Upon a prelminary listen, it’s a bit more upbeat and not as atmospheric as her old stuff… but it should be good for anyone who likes the alternative styled pop.

Jemma Griffiths (born June 18, 1975 in Penarth, Wales), better known as Jem, is a Welsh singer-songwriter known for her eclectic musical stylings. Her debut album, Finally Woken, includes elements of rock, New Wave-styled electronica and trip-hop. Along with electronic producer Guy Sigsworth (Björk, Frou Frou), she wrote the song “Nothing Fails”, which was later reworked by Madonna and appeared on her 2003 American Life album. Her second album Down to Earth is to be released in September 2008.

The Quality on this looks just like the rest, just minus the trailer from the beginning, and this isn’t over cropped at top and bottom.

Group MESS released a French Romantic Comedy named Paris. I haven’t heard a thing about this movie, so I might wait for some reviews before I check it out. It has a decent rating though. Quality looks great for a DVDRip, as usual, 2cd rip. I included the subs as well for those of you that might not be able to find them.

Pierre, a professional dancer, suffers from a serious heart disease. While he is waiting for a transplant which may (or may not) save his life, he has nothing better to do than look at the people around him, from the balcony of his Paris apartment. When Elise, his sister with three kids and no husband, moves in to his place to care for him, Pierre does not change his new habits. And instead of dancing himself, it is Paris and the Parisians who dance before his eyes.

So it took only something over one hour and group OPTiC was first to release an XviD version of previously posted The Dark Knight non scene DVD screener available as DVDR. Their rip is 2 CD of course because the movie is somewhat lengthy. Quality is not bad, but the image is quite dark and audio not crystal clear as in case of classic dvd screeners. Anyway, it’s by far the best quality available now and the size of 1.4 GB makes it easily downloadable as well. Warner Bros won’t be happy…

We will make a small exception in informing about scene releases now, partially to prevent a comments spam in other posts: a non scene dvd screener of The Dark Knight appeared few moments on few private trackers including TL and it looks like a very real deal. It’s a full DVD in raw format though so you must prepare to download almost 4 gigabytes in order to see this release. There should be an XviD version ripped pretty soon though.

A highly awaited new album from Metallica is finally here. Death Magnetic which is scheduled middle of September has been leaked thanks to certain French shop which started selling the album. The internet has been flooded with various rips of it yesterday, but we wanted to wait for a first scene release, which has been pred just 11 minutes ago by group FJORTiSO. However, it’s been instantly nuked for CBR bitrate, so you might give these non scene rips try after all.

Swedish band Peter Bjorn and John are back with their newest album, Seaside Rock. I’m sure you’ve heard their 2006 worldwide smash hit “Young Folks”, which was just about everywhere at it’s peak, from Movies, to Video Games, to TV commercials to radio. Assumably one time group PBJ has the new album, weeks before it hits stores. So if you’re into the European indie scene, check this out.

Peter Bjorn and John is a Swedish indie rock band, formed in Stockholm in 1999 and named after the first names of the band’s current members: Peter Morén (vocals, guitar and harmonica), Björn Yttling (bass guitar, keyboards and vocals) and John Eriksson (drums, percussion and vocals).

They are best known for the 2006 single “Young Folks”, which featured Victoria Bergsman, formerly of The Concretes, and was a top 20 hit in the UK Singles Chart. The hit was featured in the 2008 motion picture “21.” It was also named NME’s second best track of 2006, beaten only by “Over and Over” by Hot Chip. In Australia it was voted number 16 in the annual Triple J Hottest 100 for 2006.

Not every artist is out there to make ground-breaking music, and not every artist is capable of doing so. Sophie Koh takes a leaf from the New Buffalo book, and All Shook Up is not entirely dissimilar from Sally Seltmann’s Somewhere, Anywhere: it’s a quiet, subtle achievement by a songwriter who starts with the basics and builds from there. The songs are simple; the production – when Koh and co. tinker with the basic, acoustic skeleton of each song – is where All Shook Up succeeds beyond all expectations.

Sophie Koh is a singer and songwriter based in Australia. Born in 1979, she grew up in New Zealand and in Singapore. Based in Melbourne, she headed north to Darwin after finishing university, where she won Triple J’s Unearthed contest in 2003. Returning to Melbourne, she launched her debut album “All The Pretty Boys” in 2005. Sophie is regularly asked to play high profile events in Melbourne and around Australia. She performed the national anthem live from Caulfield Raceway (Super Saturday) in March 2007. It was broadcast live on Channel 7, and syndicated on many other networks.

Most likely one-time group with a really original name GAYGAY released a dvdrip of 2007 documentary My Enemy’s Enemy (they even managed to make two typos in the release name). It’s a look at the history of one-time Gestapo commander Klaus Barbie, infamously known as “The Butcher of Lyon.” Standard 1 CD quality.

My Enemy’s Enemy reveals an alternate history of the post-war world. This is a version of history where, in contrast to what we are all told, fascist ideology prevailed. The story of Klaus Barbie, Nazi torturer, American spy, tool of repressive right wing regimes, is symbolic of the real relationship that the “Western” governments had with fascism and makes us see the world as it is today – and the politicians that inhabit it – in a different way.

CAMERA released a film that I have heard some bad things about. An action movie about an assassin, but I hear the acting is horrible. I don’t usually take what people say about a film to heart, but it usually stays in the back of my mind while watching. I love action flicks, so I might give it a try despite what I have heard. Hopefully they’ll be proved wrong and it’ll be a good movie. And plus, Willie Nelson is in it, it can’t be that bad. The Audio sounds fine, I am not sure about the video, it could just be because the sample takes place in a bar, but it looks darker than normal.

A fairly popular movie for kids has been released by group AFG. Barbie and the Diamond Castle is an animated musical fairy tale about saving the music and preserving the friendship. There is no NFO in this release but I would assume it’s a classic 1 CD rip with 79 minutes of footage.

We don’t really get many Westerns lately, all the new movies are usually comedies, horrors or similar stuff, but not old good Wild West action. Lone Rider, released in an R5 rip by group RUSTLE is a TV western, which aired in April in the USA and now becomes available on DVD. The main role is starred by legendary Lou Diamond Phillips, who has a lot of experience with similar movies. However, in this case, the reviews are fairly negative. Enjoy a nice quality 1 CD release with full screen resolution.

With heartening family drama and adrenaline-pumping action, Lone Rider is a western with guts, glory, and a powerful message. Bob Hattaway, an honored soldier, returns to his Western hometown to discover that corrupt landowner Stu Croaker has become the most powerful man in the county. Back with another oldie that you might enjoy. Here we have Robin Williams in Good Morning Vietnam from one of my favorite groups PFa. This is a really good movie for those that have not had the time to see it. I got to see this a few years back and enjoyed it, some really funny moments. Robin Williams can be pretty funny when hes hyped up on coke. I enjoy his edgy roles to the kid films he has been starring in lately. He needs to be in a flat out comedy with a hard R where he can really let loose. Kinda like his stand up from the 1980s. Death to Smoochy does not count, I personally did not like that movie. He had maybe one or two funny moments in that. So if your looking for something funny with a heart check out this release.

A new Disc Jockey is shipped from Crete to Vietnam to bring humor to Armed Forces Radio. He turns the studio on it’s ear and becomes wildly popular with the troops but runs afoul of the middle management who think he isn’t G.I. enough.

Plot: When a group of women are abducted in the wintry hills of rural Virginia, the only clues to their disappearance are the grotesque human remains that begin to turn up in snow banks along the highway. Here we have the very first Punisher movie from 1989 thanks to XMF. I was surprised when I seen this release because I had no Idea there was going to be a unrated version of this movie. But the timing is right to tie in with Punisher: War Zone hitting theaters in December. This envision of the Punisher is good as long as you take it as it is, a good weekend afternoon movie. The Punisher has always been one of my favorite comic book heroes. I don’t think there will be a true Punisher movie til they make a balls out NC-17 Rated envision that really captures the nature of the comics. Fans of the comic know what I’m talking about. Yet we all know the studio heads would never let that happen sadly. But all in all The Punisher movie from 1989 and The Punisher movie from 2004 are good enough to watch as stand alones with War Zone hopefully being the best Punisher envision to date.

Based on the Marvel Comic, Dolph Lundgren is Frank Castle an ex-cop who lives in the sewers and acts as judge, jury, and executioner to the city’s criminals in retaliation for the unpunished murders of his wife and kids. Sorry this one is late, I had a problem with my WordPress and couldn’t find any help, so I couldn’t get this one out. OPTiC brings us the Proper DVDSCR of The Strangers which should fix the bad ivtc that KAMERA had. Watching the sample, the audio sounds nice, video is a tad bit dark, but still very watchable, and of course we have the property of marks. I thought it was a decent movie. I recommend it!

Little over 40 minutes ago, this DVDSCR surfaced courtesy of KAMERA. Ever since OPTiC released a SCR copy a few days go, I’ve been checking out this movie and, even though I’m not a big fan of hide-behind-the-sofa films, I might just give this a go. Video bitrate is encouraging, there are property messages throughout but they didn’t disturb me a great deal when I watched a few minutes. Yesterday I informed you about the iVE release of movie WANTED, all in all a pretty good movie in my opinion worth 10/10 points @ iMDB (and I say only few movies deserve that e.g. Hot Fuzz or Sweeny Toddy), but now group KAMERA released their version fixing the flaws of the iVE pre.

Quality:
Okay what has changed: First of all this is a 2CD release and if you download the sample you will notice that the picture is more or less the same, although it feels as if KAMERA cleaned it up a bit. Judging from the sample the audio is way better, no hissing but of course it still doesn’t sound like Studio AC3 – EDIT: It’s true the audio does crackle during action scenes.

After seeing the DVD9 on iNTERFiLM I was pretty excited to see this movie coming as R5 Scene release . I hope it is as enjoyable as I want it to be. Remember guys if it really was that worthwhile buy the original DVD-R/BD!

Quality: Image quality is quite okay. Its not completely crystal clear but still very good. The audio sounds somewhat “unclean” you can hear some hissing. Its not too bad after all:

A rather boring romantic drama Purple Violets has been released by group RUSTLE. This R5 rip offers a great quality of both image and audio, but this independent movie itself, directed by Edward Burns, won’t probably attract many downloaders. Although the cast includes some familiar names, it’s the film’s slightly boring plot which somehow kills it for most people. However, if you like romantic movie, you can consider downloading this release.

NODLABS has pre’d DVDRip of the “Dark City” SciFi movie dated back from 1998. Personally, i haven’t seen it yet (wonder how i passed it ), so i don’t know what’s the difference between “normal” (theatrical) and this DC version. But according to good ratings and reviews seems to be interesting so i’ll put it into my “must to see list”.

iGNiTE group released “iNTERNAL” (well now isn’t internal at all ) DVDRiPs of well known Back To the Future Trilogy. If you don’t have em (somehow) in your archive yet, this is a good chance to get em.

BTF1: The year is 1985 and Marty McFly is your everyday teenager, except for one problem. He is stuck in 1955. After his good friend Doc Emmett Brown is gunned down, Marty ends up sending the DeLorean back thirty years into the past. Now, he must find the Doc and convince him that he is from the future, in order for the Doc to send him back to the future, but this is the least of Marty’s problem. After accidentally getting in the way of the important meeting between his future mother and father, Marty must get them back together before he changes time forever, and destroys his own existence.

BTF2: The second part of the trilogy begins as Doc, Marty and Jennifer take the time-traveling DeLorean into the year 2015 to straighten out the future of the McFly family. But Biff Tannen steals the time machine and gives his younger self a book containing 50 years of sports statistics, which the young Biff uses to amass an enormous gambling fortune and transform idyllic Hill Valley into a living hell. To restore the present, Doc and Marty must return to the events of their previous adventure in 1955 and retrieve the book.

First there was darkness…, then came… the strangers.

Hello everyone! First of all, I want to say that these news are dedicated to a special friend I have made. Thank you, I really enjoy the time with you Now on with my post!

As u can see nothing good seems to come out of the scene, so I thought myself I might delight you guys with a Staff-Pick to pass some time. The sentence written in bold on top is the first line you hear, when you watch that movie. In front of you a pitch black sky with an ocean of stars reveals itself. Welcome to the Dark City!

I have chosen this movie, because I was always fascinated by the attempt to capture the word “infinity” into graphical elements and the creators of Dark City have done a damn good job. By creating the never ending, always changing city you empathize quiet a lot with John, the main actor, who on his attempt to flee the city is never able to find rest. The same counts for you, this movie has one of the shortest average shot lengths (ASL) of any modern narrative production at 1.8 seconds. There is a cut almost every 2 seconds. It has been two months since I posted here on Releaselog and I have seen so many things changing, new editors, people leaving the team… At the moment I don’t even have time to comment, not even to post. Once DeViSE is rolling with the old DVDRip’s right now I thought of writing something and posting their latest release. This western was released yesterday and stars Clint Eastwood, Gene Hackman, Morgan Freeman and Richard Harris. With an 8.3 average, this movie has the 115th place on the IMDB Top 250. Directed by Clint Eastwood himself and won 4 Oscars back in 1993. Enjoy DEViSE’s super quality and do not forget about me

The town of Big Whisky is full of normal people trying to lead quiet lives. Cowboys try to make a living. Sheriff ‘Little Bill’ tries to build a house and keep a heavy-handed order. The town whores just try to get by.Then a couple of cowboys cut up a whore. Unsatisfied with Bill’s justice, the prostitutes put a bounty on the cowboys. The bounty attracts a young gun billing himself as ‘The Schofield Kid’, and aging killer William Munny. Munny reformed for his young wife, and has been raising crops and two children in peace. But his wife is gone. Farm life is hard. And Munny is no good at it. So he calls his old partner Ned, saddles his ornery nag, and rides off to kill one more time, blurring the lines between heroism and villainy, man and myth.
